All Bottled Up

If there was a way to stuff any memory into a bottle... Then I would probably bottle up the day when my family's first Foreign Exchange Student arrived, because it was a feeling that felt like adding a new family member. Like having an older sister/brother that wasn't there before. Her name was Jaione (Hi-o-nee) and she was from Spain. I remember when she came, me and my little brother were so excited. We gave her a tour of the whole house and the whole family recieved gifts from her. She was amazing. She was happy, funny, excited, and overall she fit right in, the way she just talked to us made us feel like she had been a family member from birth. I would open that memory every time I thought of her or missed her. Now that she's back in Spain with her blood parents,  I feel like something is missing in our family, like the extra laugh that we always needed, and the exciting places we went. Oh the memories. I remember when she thought the word shampoo was funny and when we played a game called "Snorta" and we had to shout a specific animal's sound at a specific time and then we had to make a frog sound and she shouted "Karink! Karink!" oh the laughs. She visited once before and I hope that she will come back and visit sometime again soon. Just to give our family an extra little boost.
