Class this quarter
Tech 8 this quarter has been fun. I learned so many new things like how to use publisher, PowerPoint and more. I liked the lyrics and the Mixbook project a lot. I am happy about what I've done this quarter. I wish I could be in this class all year long. I am so happy because I got to do what I love, which is be on the computer. I hope that I get to be in technology in high school. I am really upset I can't do this class again but sometimes you have to move on. Another thing I liked was that Mrs. DeBolt was so nice. She always gave us fun projects and I always loved doing them.

Xbox 360 vs. PS3
I think personally that the Xbox 360 is way better than the PS3. The Xbox 360 has way better graphics, a better variety of games, a better layout, better online play, smoother operation and more. The only thing PS3 is good for is the free online play, which still sucks. So overall I think Xbox 360 is way better than PS3. One more thing, the PS3 has Blu-ray but Blu-ray stinks, the colors are very bad. Xbox 360 has more vibrant colors and bright colors than the PS3.

Hogwarts
If I could choose any place to go I'd go to Hogwarts, because my favorite book series was there. I love Hogwarts because I have always wanted something like magic to be real, and the Harry Potter series gave that to me. When I go to Hogwarts I would learn to cast spells, create potions, learn about mystical creatures, and much more. My wish would be to meet Harry Potter because he is one of my favorite book characters of all time. Another thing I would do is play Quidditch as it is the sport for Hogwarts. I would like to be in the Gryffindor tower as well, for it has the most promising results.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (ACB) is a video game made by Ubisoft. You are a man named Desmond and you learn about your past family history by using a machine called the Animus 2.0. When you are in the Animus you are an Italian man by the name of Ezio who was in a creed, the Assassin's Creed to be exact. Your mission is to retrieve an item stolen from you which is the Apple of Eden. The Apple of Eden can bee used to reverse impending doom on whatever you wish. So as Ezio you can free-run, kill enemy guards, rebuild Ancient Rome, uncover treasures, buy strong weapons and armor, recruit assassins, challenge yourself, fight off mercenaries, overpower cities which are ruled by the enemy, and much more, so even when you want to put the main quest aside you can do all this. So overall I rate this a 10/10.

Gun Control
When a football player shot his girlfriend and himself a huge conflict broke out, should we as citizens of the United States of America be able to bear arms. I say yes, even though if you weren't able to own a gun and most likely a large decrease of murders will happen, it says in our Constitution that we have the right to bear arms and the Constitution isn't a living document there for it shan't be changed. Thomas Jefferson said that if our government tried to change the Constitution then we should rebel away from the government.

Lesson Learned
The other day I made a terrible mistake. When I sat down at my computer on Sunday at 11 pm I should've left my picture project alone... But I didn't, so instead I took pictures off the internet, I plagiarized, and now instead of getting a semi-bad grade I got a 0, a hot sheet, and an 8th hour... I think I learned my lesson and now I have chosen to never cheat again. I hate myself for doing what I did and now I embarrassed myself and shamed my teacher, and now that I did that I am guilty for it. Mrs. DeBolt gave me the quarter award for the best student in her class... And now I shamed myself and Mrs. DeBolt. I am ashamed of my actions but now I have to face it like a man and accept my punishment without any excuses. Now I face my punishment with dignity, respect, and overall shame as to what I did. I think I learned a lesson that I soon will not forget. Because now I broke my top rules, honesty and respect. I told myself respect and honesty are number one, cause then I will almost never do anything wrong. Now I have to be faced with many hardships and consequences for my actions.

Thanksgiving Disaster
For my first Thanksgiving as host, I bought the biggest turkey they had in the store, I was so excited and overwhelmed. I couldn't wait till everyone was sitting down and diving into to my turkey and complimenting me on how good my turkey was. So later when my Turkey was in the oven I realized that I had forgotten to do my science experiment. The experiment was to make a concoction of chemicals that when cooked, solidifies. I did as hard as I could to follow the recipe but when I didn't have one of the chemicals I used a substitute. After I mixed it all together I put it in the oven as the directions said, fortunately the turkey and the chemicals had to be cooked at the same exact temperature. So now as I'm sitting on my couch waiting for all the guest to arrive and the oven to go off, all of a sudden I hear my kitchen explode... I run in as fast as I can to see what happened... Turned out I shouldn't of substituted the chemical and now that I did I had a baked turkey fly across the room... And that's why we all ate hamburgers.

Video Game Addiction
We don't all take it seriously but addiction is a serious thing. When I talk about addiction it can mean addiction to texting, Twitter, Facebook, and more. Some psychologists studied 8 through 18 year old boys and girls who plays video games and had a result of 1 out of 10 of them are addicted. They don't say addicted as in that's the only thing they do all day. The psychologists say it because it's damaging their normal functions like making friends, outdoor activities and more. It is said to also be bad cause of too much exposure to violence. Too much violence can cause bad habits. It also causes lack in keeping up with school work. In the end video games are officially classified as an addiction

Honor Band
Last Saturday I had the privilege to go to St. Gen. as an attendant to Honors Band. Honors Band is when schools from a district nominate their best band members to go to a place and practice all day then put a concert on for their parents. The nominees go to the Honors Band director, they pick people and the people go to Honors Band to practice and put on a concert. It was honestly amazing to be among the several students picked to go. We played 3 songs absolutely amazingly which would've taken our band class about a year to learn. I can't wait till next year where I will have to send in auditions to attend again.

Saints Row
So two nights ago when I spent the night at my cousin's house, he borrowed my Modern Warfare 2 and he gave me his Saints Row. I've only been playing for two days and I already love it. It's a free-roaming, city, gang, and 3rd person shooter. When you play you end up being in an alley where a gang fight starts, when one gang finishes the other, a member of the winning gang comes up to you and invites you to there gang, The Third Street Saints. After that you do missions and other activities. It gives you a wide variety in character creation too. After you finish the first mission you can hijack cars, start gang fights, evade the police, rob stores, and when you get cars you can store them in your garage and then later go pimp it out at a mechanic's shop. There is so much to do on Saints Row the possibilities are endless! But right now my favorite thing to do is go on high speed chases why the cops try to pin me down. Overall I vote this game a 8/10 because Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third have way better graphics, abilities, customizations, and an overall better gameplay.

Skyrim Fun
Yesterday I was playing Skyrim almost all day. I decided I was going dragon priest hunting. I got about 5 out of 8 of the masks. But the best thing is that I glitched it out and I have daggers that do 500 damage. That's alot! And then I can't even read my armor rating because it's like 6 numbers long! Anyway, I decided after I finish the main questline I am going to restart without doing glitches, I will be a clean man. I am level 81 and all my perks are 100, due to the Oghma Infinium Glitch. I am going to kill everything in one hit because I am just so strong. When I am bored or done with this profile then I will finally start over without cheating. I feel bad that I cheated so now my goal is to do the whole game again but without cheating. If not then I will just keep doing quests, and if I'm still bored I will play my modded save. With all perks unlocked and everything unlocked. Anyway I just had alot of fun playing Skyrim yesterday. And remember, keep that knee safe from flying projectiles!

By the Rails
Every day I used to walk by the railroad tracks with my dad. Ever since he was killed in the house fire I walked 10 miles along the tracks, and 10 miles back. My school is funding me and my mother so we can have money for a new place to live. When I walked every day people started noticing, and soon after I had one or two close friends making the trek with me. A week later more of my friends joined in. I was happy that everyone could journey along the tracks with me. They comforted me and helped me through the hard times. Then all of a sudden yesterday the school threw out a walk-a-thon, just for me and the memory of my dad. The money the school made would be donated to my family. And the railroad tracks now have a memorial park next to them. I am so happy that these things were done just for me and my father. We will soon be gifted the money to buy a new house, and the rails will now forever represent the long journey that people had made for two insignificant people, and to have my name engraved and face engraved on the stone at the memorial park is such a great reminder of how powerful we can be if we stand together.

Undercover Hero
Today me and my friend broke into a gas station, we were caught and sent to jail, and my dad posted my bail. Now I have to tell my dad my reason for doing what I did, as he thinks I did it as a criminal while I was only trying to be a hero. When I broke in to the gas station I was only going to use the money for my mom... She has been in the hospital for a whole month with cancer. my family is so poor and the only way I could help her was with money I stole. I don't know any other way I could do it as we only have a limited amount of money in our house and most of it was spent to bail me out of jail. Now I regret doing it and now it has made my family worse. I put a bad name on my family and it's all my fault. I will now be known to myself as the hero that failed, I only hope that sometime soon my mom may be healed.
The next day I went to school to find a whole school-full of people that were supporting my mother, while they still didn't support my actions, I was so very happy I actually broke down in tears. The school actually started a huge fundraiser just for my mother. Some kids even had their heads shaved just to show support for my mother!! It took a whole week but the final amount of money was at last gathered up and we raised a finishing amount of five thousand dollars. That's enough to pay for my mom's surgery plus a couple hundred dollars. I will cherish this moment forever and ever. I am now planning to start a foundation for the poor families that have a relative in the hospital with cancer. I hope that everyone will have enough money to help someone who's relative has cancer and I have good wishes towards the families I can't reach, but I hope everyone has another chance at life just as my mother has had.

Tech 8 Review
This year in technology I learned how to use spreadsheets, how to use citations, and how I should properly use a blog. I like Tech 8 because I get to do my favorite thing, use the computer. I like doing the surveys, biographies, the publisher project, and all the rest we did. I wish we could've had the whole school do the survey but it's not that big of a deal to me. I like having Mrs. Debolt as my Tech 8 teacher because she's fun and very nice. I like how she does things around here and I wish we could have her next year too and I'm upset we don't. But some good things we just have to leave behind.

XBox 360 is my personal favorite game console. It is my favorite because of a few things. One reason is because of the large social community. Another because Its great games. And three because its always being constantly updated until the next console comes out. All these things make the XBox 360 really great.

Ghost-Batman
A movie that starred a Ghost-Batman would be awesome for a few reasons, one, they can finally make a movie where Batman dies then surprise all of the fans with a Ghost-Batman. Another would be that Batman could be twice as powerful when he can walk through walls and fly through enemies. Everyone will love the surprise sequel after Batman dies and returns from the dead. Batman would be able to be invisible, be able to turn from solid to able to walk through walls, and now Batman would actually be able to fly! How amazing would that be? I think anyone would love a movie about a Ghost-Batman, what do you think?

Minecraft
Minecraft is a free-roaming, free-build game. It was designed and created by the British Markus Persson known to the players of Minecraft as Notch. It was oonly launched on the PC and it was in its Beta stage. Later on there was a Alpha release, which led alot mor video-gamers to find Minecraft. It was then released on the Apple Store as a beta type game, was also released to the XBox 360 and it was already on the top ten most bought games in the first week of its release, that's amazing. Back to Minecraft itself. Minecraft is a game where you mine and yiu guessed it, you craft things too. But it's much more than that. There are so many possibilities! You can use pistons to build epic machines, You can build a castle, a dream-house, anything! The catch is that everything is made of cubes. Even your character! You can also play online with friends with some playermade servers! that's epic. All these things add up to to one of the best games I've ever played. Minecraft, buy it play it, get addicted.

A Problem to Solve.
When I was sixteen my high school math teacher dissapeared. It is now several years later and I am at my high school reunion. just a week before I received a letter which was in code, when I got to my old high school I realize I'm not the only one who got the letter, everyone else did as well. When I look at the code it looks like the puzzles my teacher gave my class on some days! This is a big discovery, my math teacher may be found. If only we could decode the message. I guess now we have to do this on our own because according to the police, FBI, and CSI she will probably never be found. But I won't give up, not when I am so close, I will keep searching.

Skyrim
Skyrim is a free-roaming video game on the PC, XBox 360, and PS3. Skyrim is by far one of my favorite games. I love Skyrim because it's like living in a second world. Skyrim gives you full customization of your character from the looks of your character to who you decide to marry. I love Skyrim because the endlessness of it. Skyrim is being constantly updated so its as if it never ends. There are so many things to discover, quests to complete and several things to keep you busy. Skyrim also offers great graphics, and with a PC version of Skyrim you can also add mods. Some mods include better graphics, more monsters, more quests, and even more intense places to go and quests to complete. Skyrim I think is a 10/10 game. With all the customizations you can make to all the quests to complete Skyrim is amazingly addictive and will definitely be held on my top 5 games of all times list.

Cupid Missed.
As Cupid sat at the top of a tower, he held his breath, aimed down the cross-hairs, and squeezed the trigger slightly and the arrow flew. Just as Cupid shot a gust of wind knocked the arrow off course and the arrow went straight into the person next to Cupid's target. When the arrow landed the person fell in love with the lady across the street, which was supposed to be the original target's love. Cupid had messed up. But know one knew that, so he didn't tell anyone about it.

A Review of my Middle School.
My middle school is about just as average compared to others, but I think our school is at least a little better than others. The grades and rating of our school is high up there. But let's talk about the inner mechanisms of our school. Festus Middle School faculty is great. We have several great teachers and great supervisors too. The students here are very well served and the teachers are very well-respected. I love my school because of the friendships made here. Even teachers are known as friends here. If I could rate my school for its service to students and teachers than I would rate 5/5 gold stars; but that's just me. Of course we have flaws like all the other schools do, but where there is a rose there are thorns.

Girls Who Think They're Fat.
When a girl comes up to me and say something about themselves being fat it drives me insane. They don't need a diet, to excercise, to whatever! They are not fat! 120 lbs is NOT fat! What I think they should do is measure their waist instead of their weight. That would make a large difference. So think about that next time you weigh yourself. You girls are not fat you are perfectly fine so stop calling yourselves fat before I show you what a real fat person looks like. It's okay to diet but when you do it cause you are supposedly "fat" it makes me angry! Girls will go on and on and on about how they're fat. If you are one of those people search up obesity and click images. That is fat.

9/11
Everbody should know about 9/11... It was a tragic day that even to this day effects people. Many lives were lost this day. Several people died saving others and our still known as heroes today. The Twin Towers were both struck by planes hijacked by Osama Bin Laden's workers. The Pentagon was also struck and another plane that was hijacked that day was probably headed towards the white house and was crash-landed by civilians. Many firefighters were there and cops, and even everyday people. Noone will ever forget the people who lost their lives trying to save others, and this may seem weird but I'm glad people died for other people. But now there is a memorial for those who risked their lives. Ontop of where the old Twin Towers Stood.

All Bottled Up
If there was a way to stuff any memory into a bottle... Then I would probably bottle up the day when my family's first Foreign Exchange Student arrived, because it was a feeling that felt like adding a new family member. Like having an older sister/brother that wasn't there before. Her name was Jaione (Hi-o-nee) and she was from Spain. I remember when she came, me and my little brother were so excited. We gave her a tour of the whole house and the whole family recieved gifts from her. She was amazing. She was happy, funny, excited, and overall she fit right in, the way she just talked to us made us feel like she had been a family member from birth. I would open that memory every time I thought of her or missed her. Now that she's back in Spain with her blood parents, I feel like something is missing in our family, like the extra laugh that we always needed, and the exciting places we went. Oh the memories. I remember when she thought the word shampoo was funny and when we played a game called "Snorta" and we had to shout a specific animal's sound at a specific time and then we had to make a frog sound and she shouted "Karink! Karink!" oh the laughs. She visited once before and I hope that she will come back and visit sometime again soon. Just to give our family an extra little boost.

Firefighters
Today I'm going to write about firefighters and their importance. Firefighters may not seem like they do much and that might be true but when they do they can make a large impact. They save people from car wrecks, fires, and much more. My father is a firefighter and I'm proud to be his son. Firefighters may not seem so important but trust me. One day you might regret saying that. Firefighters are strong, responsible, helpful, trustworthy, and faithful. Firefighters even risk their lives to save another person. If you remember 9/11 you'll remember the firefighters were there saving a large amount of people's lives.
All I want to say is thank you firefighters!

What is Labor Day?
Labor Day is on the first Monday of September every year. Labor Day is a tribute to workers all over America, the tribute is actually just a day of no work. The first Labor Day was actually settled on the first Tuesday of September in 1882. Labor Day's founder was thought to be Peter J. McGuire or Matthew Maguire. Originally Peter J. McGuire was the founder but research shows that Matthew Maguire could have possibly founded it. Labor Day is now preformed nationwide showing appreciation to workers.

Today I was sitting at work overviewing some new suggestions for the company to give to my boss when I recieve a letter. I reach over and grab my letter opener and open the letter when I see it's addressed from the local jail. I open the letter and it reads as follows:
"I know I've caused you a lot of grief, but I need you to get me something that only you can get for me. Don't tell anyone about this."

High School
I am excited about being in high school next year. I have a feeling it is going to be a lot more fun then middle school is. I think we will have alot more freedom, and we will be able to do a lot more things. I also like the fact that there are a lot more sports to choose from. I also like that we don't have classes with just people in our grade, we will also have classes with people in higher grades. People will probably act a lot more mature then people in middle school. One thing im not looking forward to is being really packed inbetween classes, and having a really big school.

My Teachers
The teacher i appericate the most is Mr. Kryal. I apppercarte him because he makes the class fun whever he teaches, and he explains it to you. I also appericate my 4th grade teacher Ms.Stichling. I appriated her because through out the whole year she made the class fun and exciting. She also taught our class some stuff i still remeber today. Another teacher is Mr. Kinder, because he makes his class really fun, and teaches us important things about life, and tries to steer us in the right direction.

Cardinals.!
I am in love with the St. Louis Cardinals. They are amazing!! My favorite players on the team are Freese, Jay, and Molina. Freese plays 3rd base, and was the World Series MVP last year. Jay plays center, and Molina is a catcher, with 4 golden gloves, and a plantuim glove. The cardinals won the 2011 world seris, for there 11th world seris win. They won last 12-3 against the Pittsburg Pirates. For my birthday last year, i got tickets to sit one row behind the Cardinals dugout! it was amazing.(:

Photo
I think that this photo is kinda depressing. I think this because the boy with the wings looks sad. I Think he might of been killed by the creatures below him, because the creatures look mean and they look like they do not care about him being sad or going away. This picture can be interperped alot of differnt ways, like someone else could say that the boy is alone, snd thats why he is sad or something like that. This is very interesting to look at because you dont know excatly what it means, so its kinda fun to try to tell what it means. also it has alot of differnt colors, which is fun. Overall though, i think this picture is meant to be sad...

Helping the Earth!
Yesterday was Earth Day! Some things i do to help the Earth are recyling soda cans and turn off the light when i walk out of a room. I also turn off the water when ever i am brushing my teeth to save water. Another you can do to help the earth is get energy saving light bulbs, and try to car pool with people when going somewhere, to reduse the polliution in the air. Also, if you see trash laying around, pick it up, dont just let it sit there, because it might not be biodegradable, and will cause pollution in the air.

Travel!
The one place i would love to travel to is Denmark! I would like to go there because I like the history that the country has. Another reason is that my favorite book, Number the Stars, is based there. It would be interesting to go there and see the castle that the king and queen live in. The history there, in my oppinion, is fun to learn about. This would be a very interesting country to go and visit. Going to Denmark is definitly on my bucket list.

A reward that motivates me is being able to use my phone. I am like addicted to texting and talking to people so it really motivates me to do things that let me use my phone. Another reward that motivates me is being able to lisen to music in classes. Music is a big part of my life, and it helps me concintrate in a lot of differnt things, so i think this would be a good reward to have. If all my teachers would let me use my phone and lisen to muisc in class if we had an A in the class, it would motivate me more to getting an A. These things would be a very good reward to have, according to me.

Basketball!!
sBasketball is amazing! Its my favorite sport! Its helps you with your speed and agility! Its really hard work though, ive been on the school team for the past two years, and plan on staying with it through high school. During the season, we have practice everyday of the week for two hours besides on sundays. The practice are really hard because of all the running we do, but its worth it because it improves your game. You have to work on you aggressiveness also in basketball, because if you are not agressive then you will never get the ball and your coach probably wont play you that much. Also, you have to learn to trust your teammates and coachs, if you dont then you will never win games.

Healthy Mournings.(:
A good way to start off your mourning is eating a healthy breakfest. Another good way to start off your day is by waking up with enough time to get ready in the mourning, if you get up late, you're more likely to probably be crabby. You should probably get up at least a half an hour before you leave, if not more, so you have time. Also taking a shower is a good healthy way to start off you day, the feeling of being clean always puts me in a good mood. Try picking out your outfits at night before you go to sleep so you dont feel rushed in the mourning.

The Lottery
If I won the lottery, I would be so excited. I would probley go out and buy my mom a new car. I would also donate some of it to chairty, like the homeless shelter, or an amimal shelter. I also would buy a new phone for everyone in my family. Another thing i would do i put some of it in the bank, so I would have money for college and a nice car whenever i get older. I probley would invest some of it into stocks too.

Ergonomics
Ergonomics is the study of how the human body uses a work space. A bad habit of mine is not having my back against the back of the chair. another bad habit of mine is sitting too close to the screen. Our workstations are not eronmically sound, because we do not have chairs that move up and down. People shound always sit with there back against the chair, 18 inches away from the screen, and arms in a right angle.

Correct typing posture.
What is ergonomics? What are some bad habits of yours? Are our workstations ergonomically sound? How should people sit while working on the computer?

Correct typing posture.

what I learned in technology
What I learned in technology is how to use windows movie maker, and how to make different projects. My favorite project we did was the me movie where we made a movie about our sevles like what our favorite movie is and what our favorite food is. The other project I liked was the abstract letters project were we took pictures of inanimate objects that looked like letters and took pictures of them and made them into a word.

Eiffel Tower
This picture reminds me of a tilted sculpture that someone would put in an art gallery or in a store window as the store's theme. The tilted sculpture of the Eiffel Tower shows that you can take some thing serious or symbolistic and make turn it into something funny or goofy like this picture takes the Eiffel Tower and twist's it to make it funny looking.

Insperation
This picture makes me think of house's that are to close together or weird looking from the outside. The picture makes you have to think about what it might be about, to me it looks like a whole bunch of house's put together to make a point for what the collage is about.

Today hopefully my mom is going to take me out of school early, she told me that she will maybe pull me out during math depending on when my dad is going to get off work, if she isn't here at 1:30 to pick me up I will just finish they day at school. I really hope that she pulls me out early because I really don't wanna go to gym today, all I do is sit in the library and write stuff about sports and when I'm done I have to read.

P.E
I think P.E. shouldn't be mandatory because some people have problems where they can't participate in P.E and when people get hurt and with P.E being mandatory what are they supposed to do. Making P.E mandatory wouldn't be fair I think two quarts of gym is good because we get time off of gym and get ready for the next quarter of gym and with only two quarters of gym we can take other classes like health or writing and then after that quarter class is over we go back to gym.

Bon fire
On the 17 of February I am going to my friend lindsey's bon fire. I can't wait cause it's on the Friday that we have no school. A lot of my friends will be there but I'm also nervous because there will be people there that I don't know or know very well and I'm a very shy person when it comes to meeting new people. I don't like meeting new people because you may never see them again and I get nervous.

Picture From http://www.crossviewcovenant.org/i-need-help/ |
When someone helped me, I was in fifth grade and having problems with one of my friends. She started taking all of my friends away one by one after a week of this my mom and I went to the principle about and after a couple of months of the girl getting in trouble she apologized but the principle wanted to keep talking to me about it everyday.
